I have to replace the wheel studs in my rear axles and really don't want to pull them. I just pulled them awhile back when putting on my rear disc brakes. I don't have any backing plates installed, so getting them out shouldn't be a problem. I just replaced my fronts and I think my problem will be getting new ones installed since I'm sure I'll have to buy the long ones and cut them down and they won't be the same diameter on the knurl. Pulling them thru with a nut doesn't work (at least it didn't for me). I don't think I want to be hammering on them from the rear as the axle and keeper will be taking alot of the force. Any suggestions or am I just better off pulling the axles again? Thanks

Pulling the axles and pressing in new studs is the best way.

If you start hapmering on the flange, the bearings will be subject to damage.
