Hello all.

I have a 69 Camaro I painted about 13 years ago. At that time I put on some automotive tape for pinstriping.

The pin striping has been falling apart for years so I finally removed it. THe process was slow until someone recommended for me the eraser wheel.
It goes on your drill gun and pulls off the pin striping quickly.

It has left some smeared residue from the stickiness of the pin striping. Ive washed it several times, claybarred the area several time, and even tried goo gone/goof off.
I cannot seem to get this smeared shiny residue off. Thoughts on how to get rid of this?192679192680192681

I always buff after using an eraser wheel

Wax and grease remover for the sticky residue. Polish with wool pad on rotary polisher and light compound followed by foam pad and finishing glaze for the scratches left by the eraser.

I have used WD-40 on painted surfaces for removing glue in the past. Masked off the area, sprayed it on and let it sit for a couple of minutes and wiped it off. Cleaned up the "greasy film" with 70% alcohol and then waxed.
