Ingredients for the build
Engine-2018 L83 (All stock)
Trans (8l90)
Tires-Chinese fronts and old tires in the back that are somewhat round
Gauges-2018 C7 vette gauges

Cooling system- China town radiator with a PWM variable speed fan from a new GM car
Shifter- 2018 camaro console with shifter
Pedal- vette pedal with dse adapter
Wiring harness- top secret as I can get in trouble
Brakes- Vette C5

Performance mods, LT2 intake to increase rpm power, nitrous install coming soon
rear end- ford 9 inch with 3.00 gears
Test results
Very quick-working on getting numbers now and will update
Gas mileage- 28 MPG-32 highway
Does donuts, sounds like a muscle car, scares my passengers, idles like a sewing machine, and sips gas on the highway. I am more than happy with it.

I know the harness is top secret but what about the tune? Is it the stock tune or did you have it tuned? Just put the same setup in a 46 Chevy pickup with a Speartech harness and tune but it seems it needs a tune. What did you do about the DOD/AFM?

Maybe you could PM me if the answer is top secret… :)

That's so cool you are using the C7 gauges!! Very clever.

I disabled dod in the tune. If you have hptuners I can remote tune it for you.

Speartech also disabled it in their tune. Their harness doesn’t even have the connector. Just curious what else you did in the tune. Is it otherwise stock?

Thanks,
Don

I adjust timing tables, PE, and most importantly nailing down the transmission shift tables.

Nice setup. I was thinking about an L83 last year but stuck with my Gen 3 LS1. This will definitely be fun once everything is sorted.

Love that gauge cluster integration, looking forward to seeing the finish on the dash.
