Howdy,

I'm working on my '64 Riviera front spindle/upright redesign and need to start fixing parts like ball joints and was wondering if anyone had street miles on the Howe Precision units as they offer some interesting tuning options with different studs and both steel and Al caps. Is the boot just retained by the spindle and friction with the housing?

Thanks

They work just fine. I have 30k+ miles on mine.

I would suggest using poly dust boots. The Howe ones deteriorate and crack quickly.

I put 20K street miles on mine without issues, even through Canadian winters.

I've easily got 30k miles on a set of Howe tall lowers

Thanks for the reports and suggestion to upgrade the dust boots. I'll keep planning around the joints and rings.
