so this summer I'm planning on pulling my motor and getting into the bottom end since I'm having main seal and main bearing problems. I'm trying to put together a list of things that would be easier to do while the motor's out. here's what I've got, off the top of my head

-detail/redo engine bay and subframe
-clean up wiring
-new oil pan
-repaint block
-two-piece bellhousing
-bottom end rebuild (dur)
-clutch (just gonna check on it, it's almost brand new)

what other projects can you guys think of that would be wayyy easier with the engine out?

no, lsx swaps do not count.

freeze plugs, fill firewall holes and steering rag joint.

I was thinking heater core. Much easier with everything else out of the way. May not be leaking, but if it has not been replaced lately, they are cheap enough to replace as preventive maintance.
