I just bought a donor engine for a swap. All the accessories and ECM are included. I've asked that the gas pedal be thrown in. What are some of the tid-bits that are overlooked that I can request from the seller now to save some money down the road?

Get the fuel pump especially if it’s from a ZL1 or cts-v. You can also try to repurpose the radiator, fans. Again if it’s from a zl1 get the intercooler, intercooler pump.

pedal and TAC module (Throttle Actuator Control)
Cruise control module

IF any extras aren't going to cost anything, I'd get the body control module and wiring, gauges, any switches or sensors you can.

I'm running trailblazer gauges in my 64 Chevelle ($40 pull apart vs $800 autometer) and could have used the BCM to control some things in the car but didn't grab it.

Keep concentrated on EVERYTHING that the engine utilizes and/or touches. Fuel system, cooling system, exhaust system, electrical system, etc.

The MAF from the air intake.
