Hello PT forum
I’m starting to rebuild my 64 Chevelle I’ve had for years into something more drivable, the car is beautiful just old school technology and never enjoyed driving it for any distance,it had a 100 over327 ,solid cam ,th400 w/reverse manual valve body and a posi 12 bolt with a 4:56 gear (65mph @ 3200 rpms).
So it’s been sitting for quite awhile because I was having some head issues and really wanted to sell everything but I’m starting to feel better now so I’m rebuilding it for a bucket list ,me and the wife have never really been anywhere so I’m building it to go from Va to Ca. So I’m sure you’ll see me asking questions all over this forum and would really like to see if anyone travels like this in there cars and any tips on security ( I’m really worried about it being stolen while sleeping)
‘Thanks ,Jim

Welcome Jim, what part of VA?

I've done a 6.0 / 6 speed manual swap in my 64 four door and have been driving the wheels off of it. Have upgraded the brakes, suspension, steering, etc. Drives and handles like a new car. Been to Pigeon Forge and Atlanta twice now, even have cruise control wired up.

I'll help with questions however I can. If you have any deep chevelle technical questions might check out www.chevelles.com, lot of passionate a-body guys over there that know things you wouldn't normally think about.

Greatly appreciated!! I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out so far, never thought it would work as well as it does for a bunch of parts thrown together. :D

Jim, what part of VA? I’m just outside of Charlottesville myself.
