I've got an LQ4 in my '72 C20.....just replaced the radiator as the welds on the previous unit started to leak. I've noticed that now I'm running hot in stop and go traffic and its not even 80 outside yet...so I'm assuming I have air trapped in the system.

Whats the best way to burp/bleed the cooling system on an LS?

Thanks!

One of the easiest ways is to raise the front end of the car a foot or so, remove the cap and bring it up to temperature. Squeeze the upper and lower hoses to burp it. At least this has always worked for me.

I have always had great success back filling the block through the vent hose. You need a tiny funnel and the process is a little slow and tedious, but it has worked every time.

Yeah I just fill the block through the top hose. Any of those ways will work.
