1970 Firebird Rear of the Rear Wheelwell: Am I missing something?

Getting ready for paint and I want to make sure I'm not missing something in the rear wheelwell of my 70 Firebird (mini tubbed)? Is there a piece that extends downward from the trunk floor that ties in with the bottom front of the trunk extension, or does it just stop like that?188109

Trunk Dropoff should follow the quarter panel on the inside with about an inch airgap. Wheelwell does not extend down to the bottom of the quarter in the rear.

There should be a flange carrying the wheelwell about 1" lower than the dropoff, pinched together with a matching flange on the dropoff itself. Then theres a sort of inner fender carrying that 1" airgap to the bottom of the rear quarter.
