2nd gen kick panel speakers

Was about to order a stock RH side a/c kick panel so that I can finish my interior (70 Firebird), but I noticed Retrosound now sells kick panels with a provision for speakers. Wondering if anyone runs these, and if so, how well do they work? Wondering about interference with emergency brake? I'll be running the Vintage Air lines through the kickpanel, so that may be a complicating factor. i'm going for a factory appearing vibe so trying to minimize mods that tend to cascade.

Are there other options for speaker kick panels that work well?
