For sale is our beautiful, Unique & Rare 1980 (Real) Trans Am!!! It's time to let one of my beauties move on. I've been playing with this one for a while now, and she has been a blast, literally. We just got back from our road trip down to Dayton Beach, Florida, with it, and I thought I would post it here first before putting it up for sale officially in hopes another enthusiast might want it.
The car has a fascinating history and has survived by being stored most of its life in a garage. The Trans Am started life as a Pontiac 4.9 CID with an automatic transmission and had a complete restoration four years ago. Below is a lot more detailed information on the overall condition of the car.

History:

We purchased the car a couple of years ago here locally from a friend. He owned the car since the early '90s and knew the owner before him, so I learned about the history of the car before purchasing it. The previous owner did a complete restoration of the car by completely disassembling the car and putting it on a rotisserie. The car was completely stipped to repair all metal and bodywork. LS Pro Touring Swap conversion was started by the previous owner, which was about 80% completed when I purchased the car.
The previous owner planned to have an LS swapped 5.3 with a Single Turbo, but he didn't quite make it that far and needed to sell the car. Once I purchased the car, I continued to add a few of my own touches and finish the car as you see it today. The overall primary goal for the car was to build a Clean, neat, comfortable, drivable, and reliable daily driver car that can be driven on family vacations, Car events, to work, or just a night out on the town. As you will read below from the list of upgrades and Mods, you should get a feeling that this is precisely what the car is meant for. . .

Drive-Train:

The Trans Am is equipped with a Pro-Touring 5.3 LS Engine w/ TR6060 Six-Speed Transmission. It averages around 21 MPG on the Highway and around 18 MPG in town. The car does have a small cam in it that was installed by the previous owner (See/Listen to Video)
The Rear brakes have been upgraded disk brakes . . . The ride quality of the car is outstanding, and absolutely no issues with handling or steering given the suspension & steering have been completely rebuilt
The car is also equipped with Tank INC 21 gallon capacity, which is fanatics for long trips. It also has an Aeromotive Stealth Pump installed in the tank for a quiet ride/operation.
The car retains its factor 10 bolt rear end, which has been completely rebuilt with a new set of 3:42 gear which is just about perfect for both highway cruising and in or around town. It also has new Moser Axles and an upgrade Posi unit. The 17inch YearOne Snowflake wheels give the car a great factory look and a great stance. The wheels are wrapped with a brand new set of Nitto NR555 275/45/17 tires. The custom Stainless Steel Works Long tube headers and exhaust system sound incredible.
The car is an original factory A/C car But has been upgraded to a much better Vintage Air system, which keeps the car cool during those hot summer days. In Addition, we also installed sound deadener and dynamat like insulation to help with keeping the car cool and quiet on long trips.

Paint & Body:

The Trans Am was repainted with its 11 Cameo White Color. So the car has never had a color change. The paint and body show very well with no major issues or problems. The car was also finished on the bottom side of the car while on the rotisserie.
Interior:
The car was born with the Starlight Black Deluxe (cloth) Interior, which it still retains today.
The Starlight Black Interior is in absolutely fantastic shape as well, with no rips or tears in the seats. It's never been smoked in and has no funny smells. The seats, carpet, and door panels are in pristine condition...as they should be and look great.

The custom Gauge Mark Instrument Gauges look amazing and all functioning correctly for the LS Swap. The dash is mint condition with no cracks, tears, or warpage of any kind. The door panels are also in excellent condition. The windows and locks function as new as does the AC.

The original stereo system has been replaced with an upgraded audio system with Blue Tooth capabilities and a 700-watt amp & Sub that works perfectly.

This car is a true Pro Touring / Restomod car and is an absolute blast to drive. It's been built in such a way that it requires very little maintenance and is user-friendly. The car has over 4K miles on it since the conversion was done with no issues at all.

There are many things done to the car that I'm sure I forget but below is a list of some of the things.

5.3 LS engine with LM7 Iron Block (2003)
TR6060 Six-Speed Transmission (2004)

Upgraded 4 Wheel Disk Brakes

Is this car not sold? I have a buddy that says he bought it a week ago.

Car looks nice for sure. My only question is about the engine. The add says it's a 5.3 w/ an LQ4 block (which is a 6.0 block). So is it a 5.3 with the wrong info given? Or is it a 6.0?

No your buddy is a dealer that offer to take it in on consignment so the car is still for sale. It's on Ebay now also for all those that are truly interested in purchasing the car..

All PM returned...

and following up on a couple questions....

1. I don't have the original engine or transmission
2. Trades? I'm really wanting to sale the car but will listen to interesting trade offers.
3. Yes - the car is for sale on ebay now
4. Paint is an 8 out of 10. The car is driven so it does have some minor imperfections like any car would.

Thanks for all the questions and please contact me directly if your truly interesting in purchasing the car. I don't check emails or PM's that often and I don't reply to tire kickers with their expert opinions.
