Has anyone been watching barrett jackson. If you thought the prices on these cars would go down because of covid and job loss, wow think again. They are getting crazy money. Seems there is no end in sight for the classics

Some folks have made an enormous amount of money in the stock market. I think that is what is driving these high prices.

Stocks plus the Covid checks are putting lots of cash in peoples pocket. Between the money my wife got for her business and our personal checks the pandemic is funding a pretty good portion of my hard top pro touring conversion work.

X2.

I’ve been fortunate in this COVID timeframe myself and that has allowed us to do a lot this past year personally and with the car. For others looking in at my life, it’s easy to say it’s the “COVID check” but we have done a ton personally to get ourselves into a position for making big personal leaps. The past few years we’ve been vigilant about attacking debt and once COVID hit, both of our jobs went to working from home and that has saved us a year worth of travel hours. I’ve also been blessed with my job having more work for me in this time frame. This all has translated to me being able to make progress with my personal finances and my ‘79 Trans Am recently.

I have a friend of a friend who took a 67 pro touring mustang to Scottsdale. Had a stock coyote. Pretty basic leather interior. A full tci chassis. A phenomenal paint and body job. It brought 176k but after fees he got I think just. Under 150.
It was a phenomenal fit car.
