Rear Drum versus Rear Disc Conversion

I was going to order my rear wheels today and thought I finally had it all figured out UNTIL the guy asked me about my brakes. I have drum on it now but will be converting to rear disc. Is there a magic number of the dimension difference or is this based on the MFG of disc conversion. He says this could change the back space which makes since. Anybody done any comparison on this topic?

this really depends on what brake kit you want, they usually have measurements on their website regarding proper clearance and how it changes the offset of your axle. So the question really should be, what brake kit are you currently considering.

since you were going to order wheels, then you know the specs, post them up so we can see.
for reference, youre not going to fit 14 inch rotors with 6 piston calipers under a 15 inch wheel. no matter what offset.
