LS9s only came in the Corvettes and were only offered with a manual transmission...and in the Corvette it was a transaxle...

Thanks Don. Thinking I may just go with a LT4 supercharged engine which I can get new for $14k. Would love to have a LS9 but not sure it makes sense financially when the LT4 SC has a few more hp for less $$$. Good luck!

LS9 may be a more expensive engine, but look at over all cost with the swap. The LT has its challenges

What challenges? Fill me in. This us my first Chevy build. Was nothing but Mopar until now.

The LS platform has been around since 1997. The aftermarket parts available to aid in easy retrofits is much larger than the LT. Of course the LT market is growing more everyday, its not going to be as seamless.

coming from building mopar whether you go ls or lt it’s going to be thousands less than anything with a mopar name
