Ride Tech lower 4 link bar change for more wheel and tire clearance??

I was looking at changing out my current wheels and tires on my 70 Mustang and thinking about going one step wider in the back but I'm only about 3/4" away from my lower ridetech 4 link bar now. If I replaced the lower bar with one that had a different end like a heim joint and could angle the front mount some and sapce it over for a little more room it would help but would it be a worthwhile idea?

Maybe they have an R-joint bar configuration that might help.

They sell a complete r joint bar kit. When I called them they didn't have much to say about it other than I could possibly try adding R-joint ends to my current rods. Only thing is the R-joint are kinda wide at 1 3/4".

The smaller end on the bar you currently have is 1 3/4" as well so you wouldn't see anything different there. You could upgrade to the R-Joint bars and then run offset spacers to push the front mount in as close to the frame as possible (and with the articulation they have, you have a little room to play there as well).

Josh, Yeah that is the measurement I took. Can a guy buy just the lower R-joint bars?

Worked on a build a few years back with a ridetech 4-link on a 65 Mustang, Project 50/30, for CJ Pony Parts. Josh@Ridetech is familiar. We used these (https://www.ridetech.com/product/large-rod-end-bracket-for-3-wide-rod-end/) and welded them to the inside of the frame rail. It had also been mini-tubbed to fit 20x11 in the rear and a 305 with plenty of room.
Also, the rear link bar mount was moved in where it attached to the axle.

Also mounted narrowed where the axle bracket is attached.

I'll have to visit with Josh more and see what we can come up with. I mini tubbed the car and I have tons of room in the wheel wells but the 4 link bars are my biggest concern. I'm running a 20x10 wheel with a 305 tire now but it would be nice to bring the wheel to an 11" wide and go wider with the tire also. The 305 looks good but a 315 would be better and the wheel wells look like I can get a 325-335 wide tire in there.
