I've got a 1968 Camaro I'm going to be taking to the track for HPDE. In the back I've got almost 1" difference in height left-to-right. I need to put in some spring spacers to lower the car a bit already because it the rear is about an inch higher than the front.

Would it make sense to use different size lowering blocks on the left/right to try and adjust for the height differences?

These are some used springs that I got off Craigslist. Barring buying new ones, I'm just trying to get things better if possible. I've already removed the shocks and loosened all the eye bolts on the springs to releive any tension from there.

Thanks!

For HPDE I would think you would want to scale the car and set the corner weights appropriately rather than set it for level ride height. But I am far from an expert...

Yeah, you are right on scaling it and corner balance! Just not quite there yet with my equipment and there really is no adjustments to make to adjust the corner balance. I was just thinking of whether using lowering blocks to offset a spring that is different on one side would make things better or worse.

Thanks, Don!

Well that doesn’t sound like a good idea because it sounds like maybe the springs are different rates which is not necessarily good for HPDE type driving.

ssanto, this doesn't sound like a good idea. Russian Roulette with your Life & Car. Used unknown Springs - what about the rest of the Suspension & Car? Safety Equipment?

This has nothing to do with trying to sell you something. I've been doing HPDEs and have been an Instructor for 30+ Years
