Looking for a straight rust-free, reliable driver 1969 Camaro relatively close to the St. Louis area. Prefer power train (i.e., LS conversion) and/or suspension mods over nice paint, no pro-street or back-halved cars. Any body work done must be documented or visible upon inspection. Body color of hugger orange is a HUGE plus. Max budget is $30K.
PM me with offers.
Thanks,
NK

Curious to see what you find. I don't know what your experience is....but based on mine...I would focus more on paint and body over LS conversion. I see $30K getting you a very old LS conversion and likely a undesirable LS1 etc...these first gen cars are rust nightmares if they are original. However if you are heartset on orange, I guess you are willing to put the money into paint.

Doesn't have to be an LS conversion, just threw that out as an example. I'm not opposed to completed body work as long as it is documented or performed by a reputable shop. Don't want to get into a situation where the paint looks great but it's swiss cheese underneath. Been there, done that.

Yeah for 30 k u don't get much these days. A good bodyworked car and paint is close to that figure. Might be able to find a project or stock car for that good luck with the hunt

Will consider a relatively rust-free roller or incomplete project preferably within 700 miles of STL.

Maybe think about taking a trip to the Saint Charles Arena this Sunday for the Easter show and mingling with the Camaro people there. You never know, there might be someone there that knows about one possibly coming up for sale or even have one there for sale.
