Hello my fellow pro-touring friends, I have a wheel type question for my 2nd gen Camaro. So I completed the 5th gen Camaro SS Brembo front brake conversion on my 73 Camaro using the kit from BigBreakUpgrade.com (awesome product and even better support- thanks Scott!). BUT now I ran into an unforeseen wheel clearancing problem where the wheel won't clear the caliper. I'm running the Ridler 645 wheels, 18" front and 20"rear, but the inner spoke portion of the wheel won't clear the caliper. I don't want to run spacers as it will push the wheel out too far (about 1/2"). I have also cut off the pad absorbers since the pic, so it clears the wheel diameter no problem.
What wheels are you guys running that did this upgrade? Thanks in advance!

Did you ever figure this out? I’ve been talking to Scott and he is saying my ridler 650 wheels are gonna be close but using the 6th gen caliper and the c7 zL1 rotors

I’m not sure what kind of response was expected here….you only have two options….you need new wheels spec’d to clear or spacers. I just ran into this with a brake upgrade. Had to buy new wheels.

I went with wheels with more backspacing to run a spacer to allow the calipers to clear the spokes.219887

I assume you want to stay relatively budget friendly and not go with custom offset 2- or 3-piece wheels. I've Seen guys run Weld Ventura's or Rocket Racing Attack wheels with similar set ups. You'll probably just have to do some digging to find the caliper clearance for whatever wheels you're looking for. Generally, I've found most 1 piece cast wheels from Ridler, US Mags etc. tend to have a fairly flat spoke design that does not play well with the Brembo's
