Probably 99% of modern drag cars sits higher in the back.

I have notice that almost all Super Stock cars from the early days (early 60s) of drag racing sits lower in the back.

I am sure it was not done for style.

What are the Pros and Cons of this setup considering they were not running any wheeliebars???

Probably the remnant of the early gasser style cars.

A high front transfers weight to the rear, at the expense of aerodynamics... especially when early suspension design/weight transfer was rather lacking.

On these early drag cars, it's not that the rearends were so low. It's that the front ends were so high.

At the time they thought it made the take-off quicker. They eventually discovered that a softer front end gave better numbers.
