do all ls based engines have the same length rod?
If not what are the diff lengths?/what is stock lenght?
what is the wrist pin size?
what is the rod journal size on the crank?
could these rods be used in a normal smallblock?

the ls1 rods to the best of my knowledge are all the same.

the rods in my 5.7 are:
6.098" long
0.945" pins
use 2.100" sbc rod bearings

yes they can be used in a gen 1/2 sbc with custom pistons.

The 4.8s used in the trucks has a longer rod. Can't remember how much longer, but it's enough to make up for the shorter stroke. This lets "The General" use the same pistons in both the 4.8 and the 5.3.

thanks for the reply's so far, I remember reading somewhere about the 4.8 rod being longer but for the life of me can't find where I read it. This is the rod I am most interested in, anyone else know anything?

Found some more info.
The 4.8 rods are 6.275" long.
The 5.3/5.7/6.0 rods are 6.096" long.
The LQ9 (6.0) rods are supposed to be heavier (stronger) and bushed for floating pins.
