Clear Coat or Paint Torque Thrust II wheels?

Would it be possible to clear coat a set of Polished Alum TT II wheels - so that you no longer would have to polish them / keep them polished?

I have read mix thoughts on clear coating them - as the may turn yellow, etc.

I heard that perhaps doing a clear powder coating might be an option.

Would an alternate be to paint them? Has anyone done this?

I can't answer that but I will say that I put sharkhyde on some polished aluminum suspension parts on my offroad rig and it seems to be working great. I would have to wipe them with polish after every ride and as of now I am just washing them as any other part. Only beem on about 3 months though.
