View Full Version : LS1 Caliper Bracket?
Hi all, Merry Christmas! Does anyone know if someone is making brackets for these calipers on drum brake A body spindles?
I have all the brakes from an 01 Firebird available to me and would like to put them on my 65 Lemans. I want to stay with 12" rotors for clearance on 16" rims.
All I can find are C5 brakets. Any advise on this would be welcome.
Thanks, Murf

Rich Hoag(zman69) sells them, I believe the A body spindles are same as fbody for that year just different steering arms, front vs rear according to my local classic parts supplier. Although you should realize the clearance issue is only diameter with those calipers. I have LS1 set up on the front and the spokes of my wheel hit the caliper. Body of the caliper is big so it might not fit your wheels regardless. I used a .5" billet spacer. SS
Railing68, Thanks for the info. I am begining to think that all the PBR type conversions have the issue with the caliper to wheel clearance. I will have to check that out.
Are you pleased with the brakes and what do you run for rear brakes? Thanks again.

Does anybody know if Rich Hoag is still making these brackets? I searched the site for this profile but I must not have gotten it right. If anybody has contact info please let me know.
Later, Murf
never mind, I got ahold of Rich. Thanks, Murf
