I have a complete ready to drop in setup for a 1st Gen 1967 / 1968 / 1969 Camaro or Firebird / Trans Am. I have this setup in my 1968 Camaro and have minimal miles (less than 1000) and am just changing up the setup since I am aiming to drag race the car, not just have a fun street car.
The car was dynotuned (have sheet) and as it sits, did 634 rwhp on a Mustang Dyno which translated to 697 rwhp on a Dynojet. That was through an unlocked 4L80e automatic transmission. This is still with a 100% stock longblock and even a stock cam as well. Minor cam and/or headwork and you could have quite a bit more out of it. It was tuned on the conservative side (15* timing for safety on pump gas) through my holley dominator.
Everything Included w/ Links for Reference -
1) Whipple 2.9L Intercooled LS Motor Hot Rod Kit - New ~$5700
This kit is for LS3/L92 style heads, not cathedral ports. Would need adapters for that. Black powdercoat finish with the standard black shaft cover. Purchased this from Wegner Automotive in Markesan, WI.[url]https://www.fischermotorsports.com/fm-store/induction-system/whipple-superchargers/hot-rod-whipple-superchargers/whipple-gm-lsx-front-feed-2-9l-supercharger-intercooled-hot-rod-kit-w175ff/
2) Wegner Performance Front Accessory Drive Kit - New ~$3500+ with upgraded options listed
Front accessory kit with ATI Superdamper, upgraded 225 amp alternator, black finish on all items including power steering pump with integral resevoir. I have two pulleys for the supercharger, right now its pullied and pulled 18psi at 6500 rpm. Other pulley I have is bigger diameter, so would pull less boost. The AC Compressor hasn't ever been hooked up but I have the connection piece for it if you have Vintage Air kit. I also have the specific Vintage Air Condensor that bolts onto the front of the heat exchanger for 1st genshttps://www.wegnerautomotive.com/drive-kits/lsx-drive-kits/supercharged/wak040/
3) Fuel Injector Connection (FIC) 127lb Injectors - New $900
Plenty of injector for alot of HP on E85 without running into duty cycle issues. These were the size recommended by Wegner and purchased through them for my goalshttps://fuelinjectorconnection.com/products/bosch-127lb-high-impedance
4) Nick Williams 102mm Drive by Wire Throttle Body Boosted Version - New $700
The upgraded boost version with better internal components for boosted applications.[url]https://sdparts.com/i-24499829-new-nick-williams-103mm-electronic-drive-by-wire-throttle-body-for-ls-applications.html
5) CR Racing Heat Exchanger - New $750
Front heat exchanger to run water through to cool before it enters into supercharger integral intercooler. I upgraded mine to have -12AN fittings in lieu of just the push on hose. As stated above, I also have the Vintage Air specific A/C condensor that bolts onto the front of this heat exchanger if you want to add in A/C to your vehicle and not have to fab up mountshttps://www.crracing.com/product/chevrolet-camaro-1967-69-heat-exchanger-for-lsa-engine-accepts-vintage-air-condenser
6) PNR Welding Water Tank w/ Integral Pump - New $300
Tank placed in previous battery box location in the 1st gen cars. Can be located elsewhere with changing hoses. Integral pump makes hose routing alot easier. Link is for a generic version without a pump in it. Mine was custom measurements based on another thread here on pro-touring.comhttps://www.pnrwelding.com/product/3-5-gallon-ice-tank-universal-with-dc-150-pump-plumbed-up/
7) Custom Cold Air Intake Piping/Closure Panel and Filter for a 1st Gen Camaro - $800
Frankv11 on pro-touring.com that was creating these intakes. Worked for some custom dimensions to fit the Whipple setup.[url]https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/130901-1969-68-67-camaro-Ls-swap-custom-cold-air-intakes
8) Chevrolet Performance LSA Crate Motor - ~$7,000 (read how below)
I purchased the whole Chevrolet Performance LSA Crate motor. I knew my goals were beyond what the stock LSA supercharger could provide so I sold that setup and upgraded the motor with the Whipple. This is a better block, better crank, piston oilers, better rods, better heads than a typical LS/LS3 motor. I've also added the Holley 302-3 Oil Pan that is made to fit a larger crank if desired as well as all typical muscle car chassis. In addition, the stock baffle was replaced with the window/flaps Holley 302-12 version to assist in oil control in the sump. These motors are $12,900 now new. I got a deal on mine and then sold the supercharger setup off of it for $3000 so I am into it for quite a bit less.[url]https://www.jegs.com/p/Chevrolet-Performance/Chevrolet-Performance-LSA-Supercharged-62L-556HP-Crate-Engine/3451699/10002/-1https://www.holley.com/products/accessories/oil_pans/oil_pan_kits/gm/parts/302-3https://www.holley.com/products/accessories/oil_pans/parts/302-12
9) Wegner Automotive Custom Valve Covers - $900
Hidden coil valve covers with baffle/breather connections(actual breathers not included, will need for new setup)[url]http://www.westcoastoffshore.ca/WEGNER-MOTORSPORTS-LS-HIDDEN-COIL-VALVE-COVERS-Standard-Size-P12310.aspx
10) Fragola Fittings and Push-Lok Hose - ~$500
-12 AN fittings and hoses to get the cooling water to heat exchanger and through intercooler connection at supercharger.
If you have a 67-69 F-body car, i'll even toss in the Hooker Headers made for the Hooker/Holley swap mounts. In all, I have ~$21k+ into the whole setup
Selling ALL for $17,500
May entertain selling everything but the longblock, but upgrading to a 6bolt motor. Again, don't have to sell, not covid straped by any means, just debating if I want to turn this car into a drag car if this sells. Otherwise its going in a Chevelle 'vert. I may be way off on what others may think its worth, and if I am that is ok. Not trying to be difficult, you just never know with this type of stuff. I have less than 1000 miles on it since the trans had an issue and I pulled it to put everything in a Reid SFI rated case and haven't driven it.
It is still in the car, you can hear it run. If you are on Facebook i can send videos of it running down the street and the dyno place's video they uploaded on their site.
Will not ship. May be coming out of the car shortly(early December) if it hasn't sold. Phone number for any questions/facetime/videos/texts can be provided.
Thank you,
Chris
