REAL Bob Johnson

My name is Bob Johnson and I am new to this board as well as Pro-Touring type cars. I grew up going in a straight line drag racing. I raced in the HOTROD Muscle car series along with Outlaw 10 in tire racing and have always had a love for fast cars. Right now my current project is a 69 camaro it has a all alluminun big block with twin 76mm. turbos. I used a 1987 c-4 vette front and rear sus. It has a full frame and a cromemoly roll cage. I feel lucky to be able to do my own work so i have nobody to blame but myself for problems or delays. I own my own body shop and have my own play shop at home. as soon as i can i will post some pictures. P.S. the other Bob Johnson-2 is an imposter want-a-bee

This is the real deal Bob Johnson...impersonator Bob and I are good friends..he calls me da da..I call him my illigimate bast**d son.I was young and stupid and got too friendly with a farm animal ..comprende? Really he's a talented guy, and held records in the NMCA before the big bucks ran him out. Now if he can just learn to drive a straight shift..He lives about 20 miles West of Atlanta..wrong side of the tracks.. his shop primarily does collision work.. but also does supernice restoration work as well as fast race cars and street machines...knows his stuff..

well, sounds like to me you're not coping..you're copying...forgot about your Camaro so I can't be accused of copying..(get that grammar right) especially some pro street looking drag car with a red neck stance like they were back then,,I think I'm going to change your handle to The Surreal Bob Johnson..The real Bob Johnson..often imitated but never duplicated..but why would anyone want to? Damn sure ain't gonna get you laid.

That is wicked. Have you had it running with the current setup?
What are you looking at for HP?
I see nelson racing engines has a similar setup they they claim 2000hp on race gas and 1200hp on pump gas.
Forget about twin turbo small blocks, You have the real deal.
I hope your rear independant supension can handle it.

Here are some pictures
are these pix of
Are these pix of The Surreal Bob johnson's Camaro?..does that 200 plus refer to the "proof" of the shine that he makes and drinks?? Everyone wants to know when this will be done..He was done 6 months ago until he saw what i was doing..he had to take that race car finish off and put a game face on it. I'm making him and his car better..he's having to work @ night instead of frequenting Gentleman's bars..I'll rag his as* if it isn't looking good..someone see Bob Johnson as the owner, they might think it's me, so it's has to look good..hey imitator..NO BLING on that thing

Questons on Horse Power? My Moonshine hauling Camaro will have a all alluminun 427 with conv. style heads sheet metal intake with Two 76 mm. turbos two intercoolers and twin throttle bodys It will make a 1000 on pump gas [enough to SMOKE any CUDA] or 1500 on race gas We raced and dynoed several diff combos up to 600 cu. and 2500 plus hp. but you can only us so much on the street so its a over kill anything over 800 hp. I plan on being done by now but too many irons in the fire all the time I have built and owned more cars than I could ever count. But Bob Johnson-2 [the imposter] Cuda is probably the cleanest and nicest custom car ever It does not have alot of store bought crome and B.S. bolted to It is one-of-one any one that appericates a nice car the pic. do it no justice Alan Johnson who built it is as nice of person you will ever meet Alan is helping me with my wheels and tires [going on forth set] because i need something that gets good trackson in the dirt so i can out run them county mounties [GET-ER-DONE] Thanks The Real Deal

make sure you don't try to pass yourself to Alan as The Real Bob Johnson..I don't want to see a bill on my Cuda tab for a set of wheels...when you get Real like your ol dad, maybe you'll get some of this shi& sponsored..You're getting as bad as Lamar Lewellen, buying 5 sets of tires and wheels to figure out what works. I can't afford that luxury.

You know, since I left Georgia, and moved up here to the hills, we have gotten past that trailor living. Attached is a picture of my car and new house. Just wait till you can afford one of the new wood burning cook stoves though, they are the stuff.:bananna2:

my wife just built an outdoor kitchen..it has a wood burning Italian Pizza Oven and a fireplace that has provisions for cooking, and a regular oven and stove top..She cooks about once per week. I would raise sand but I'd be a hippocrite, considering what I spend on cars..cheaper to keep her..

Just got back from scottsdale and same as last year more clones and recreations bringing as much or more than the real thing. Really liked DSE 69 camaro very clean and would be my pic over foose and the baldwin camaro[the one with the dash out of a winnebago] .I believe most of the bidders get caught up in the excitement and think that since it's auction it's a deal where does it stop?

old Yaller Camaro sounded pretty good too..one guy on here posted it was the nicest pro tour car he had ever seen. Nice piece, but there were at least 2, if not 3 of the 5 cars in the finals at Columbus that were nicer..I'm looking at all them hair dryers and I'm getting skeered..you're going to have one more shockwave..the one that shoots up your as* when the force gets on you..I was told you tried to get your bidders pass comped..impersonating me..should have shaved your head, shrunk about a foot, gained about 60 lbs. and aged about 20 years.

The real has a trick up his sleeve..probably lots more..he uses his MSD box for traction control..an old 10.5" trick..They get a big slick that will hold the power of the car..let the Msd record the driveshaft speed relative to tire speed on an optimum run..then when they put the narrower tire on the car, the ignition sees the tire speed going faster than the shaft speed recorded and backs the engine down to stop the tire spin..sweeet..Fast has the same capability but they haven't released it because 90% of their business is NHRA and AHRA which doesn't allow traction control. They are contemplating two different looking boxes where they can offer this option on one of the boxes..gotta have it..

Lamar Lewallen had your engine builder build the engine in his 70 LS6 Chevelle..he told Lamar your motor would make over 2,000 H.P. with lots of boost. I know you know your stuff on suspension..but I want to see you make that C4 stuff work with a 295 tire and even half that HP. You got me shakin like a man on a fuzzy tree..

No worries Bob, I hear Real upgraded at Earl's to the 399 special. Two extra handfulls of sand in the paint makes black look kinda carbon fiberish.

it's glitter he got from his girlfriend..you've seen em with that glitter all over their chest in the Country Western Bars..turns The REAL on so he had to have it on the Camaro..I think a set of Baldwin Motion vette side pipes would look great..along with the 427 Vette Hood and some of the funky stripes Motion used to use..one of those cow catcher front spoilers like on a freight train or snow plow..Chrome Illusion Paint on the stripes would be real cool especially with the glitter...REAL better get busy..he assured me he'd be running long before I was..maybe he was talking about his mouth

It's the image that's selling..Motion/Rosen..Ron Pratt bought it so he would have the first one like his first Motion Corvette..now when you kick Cuda as* YOU will have the mistique..before you can get 400K, you will need those Motion/BonSpeed wheels on your Camaro instead of getting Colorado to make you some like mine..set of 295X25X18 should look real nice with no offset sitting back in that wheel well about 6 inches and about 5 inches of space for and aft the tires in the wheel well..and you won't have to take any heat for putting a set of them thar heavy as* 20's on thar.. Those Pep Boys knock offs will be a nice touch too..How come you aren't painting tonight? Is Earl going to paint it or just send one of his flunkies over with a couple of pine tops to spread the paint?

A friend of mine called me up to come look at the $25,000.00 paint job he had on his motorcycle. This was 20 years ago too. I said no way..he said come look at it and you will understand why. I went over and he had taken every bad check he had ever received, laid them out all over the tank and fenders and cleared over them. Think you and Earl could handle that? Dare to be different..Change your name for starters..Bob Johnson is way too common a name for you..

Yeah, Lamar has been around for a LONG time, Barrett Jackson sold one of his 69 Copo race cars (white one) last year. I know of him, never meet him personally.

You're thinking of Lamar Walden..He has a speed shop in Doraville. This is Lamar Lewallen..Lamar Walden is the big 409 guru.. Has Aluminum heads that look like a 409 but are really like 427 Rat Heads..He had a 62 bubble top that was like 3/4 size..ran pro-mod or something with it..Reggie Jackson has or had the 69 ZL1 of Lamar's..it was at Barrett 2 or 3 years ago and no sold like nearly all his stuff that year except the 50 Ford Coupe with a SOHC motor that sold and proceeds went to charity. If everyone here gets a chance, I would and Lamar would also appreciate everyone voting for his car on Hot Rod TV..They pick like 10 cars from NSRA shows around the country. Poteet's 40 gold Ford Pick-up is also in there and it is also cool as hell. But Poteet has won everything in the world, deservedly so I might add. Lamar is kind of new to the street rod world and I would love to see him win. His car is kick as*. They did it in his shop..some of the best paint/body work anywhere on the 40. You can vote by going to masterstv.com\streetrodder\ We would appreciate you and your buddies vote

Well it is a HotRod built for speed then comfort. It my not be as smooth as my wife's pacer but who knows. It will have solid motor mounts and a mid plate I've never had much if any vibration out of a balanced engine and at 200 MPH anything will vibrate.Hopefully in the next 2 weeks I'll have the motor ,trans, exhaust and front end on and look like a car again.
