So I have a problem...I hope some of you can relate and I'm not alone in the world :) I buy more parts because of "good deals", ah screw it, or change direction than I could ever install. This has lead to two fairly high end suspensions one on car, on in boxes. Multiple sets of headers, two 600hp engines one Pontiac, one LS, etc etc etc.

The problem is I buy this stuff and I don't keep good track over the years. I'm now on my 4th iteration on my 73 firebird and taking the opportunity to put in a new steering gear to go with my CVF high type II pump setup and Hydroboost while my engine is out. I bought TWO steering boxes over the last 6 or 7 years. One was a screw it lets do it purchase from Custom Works, the PSC protouring 12.7:1 box. The other came with a smoking deal I got on a speedtech Streetfighter setup with ridetech rear leafs that ultimately will be on the car. I thought it was a DSE box, but its a turn one.

Both are in original packaging which was amazing on both. But zero paperwork, the Turn one doesn't have a part number anywhere not sure how THEY knew what to pull off the shelf to ship! There is a what I believe a 3476 number written on box but cannot find a ref.

I'm thinking the turn one is the one to go with as its the 600 box, noticeably lighter. Although the PSC wins in looks department. Just curious on everyone else's experience and how can I identify that the turn one box is right for my 73 bird?

Also thinking about getting a new steering shaft as I have the rebuilt birds and bowties column and all new everything else, why not. Are there better than the standard repo part options out there? Thanks!

I run a TurnOne 600 series box, one of their SB2 boxes. The 12 makes it obvious it's a 12:1. Mine has a 235 t-bar and "235" is stamped into it on the top of the end piece where the fittings are. Yours appears to have nothing stamped into it so who knows what t-bar it may have, I just see a letter P. Was it stored at the bottom of the ocean lol?

Too bad the paperwork was lost, would have come with a test sheet that also listed the specs.

Have to admit, I do the same. Many parts I've upgraded twice and some 3 times. I have enough parts to very literally build another if I got just a body with interior. Maybe I will someday.
