I have a question. Is my Mustang a 289 engine? C5AE 6015E There is description in the block. The head says 289. But the firing sequence runs at 13726548.

There's no telling with out pics and head and block casting numbers what you have. A stock 65 mustang was a 289. But it could have had a late model 302 swapped in along the years. Also it could be a newer cam in the stock 289. The cam is the only difference between the firing orders, when you swap in a 1372 cam vs the stock 1542, you just reroute the plug wires on the distributor cap.
