View Full Version : Foam bump stops

Moving to these with my frame going back together. I just have have a 2"/1" drop on the car (in theory) and it looks to me like the rear rubber bump stops are almost ready to make contact. I had planned on foam but It looks like my preference for the rear would be to use shock mount bump stops.

Would it be an issue with Varishock shocks?

You want the ones that are shaped like a triangle, they are actually a veritable spring. As the cars frame contacts them its soft but gets harder the more it presses against it...

Make sure you install them! They are very important..

I use them instead of a rear sway bar on my 69 el Camino... I made spacers for them out of steel pipe end caps...

S10 control arm bumpers are progressive rate and commonly used.
