What are some options for undercoating your wheel wells?
We shot them with PPG Black and clearcoat and they look good now, but I'm sure all that will change once I get it on the road.
I'm thinking maybe some type of clear bed liner or something.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I use this. It has a shiny finish that doesn’t hold dirt.

Don, have you used this for undercoating the car as well?

Yes it is all I use. I like it because of the smooth plastic like finish. I apply it over SPI epoxy.

That's another nice product you suggested Don. I was looking at Raptor liner, but will now consider this. How's it hold up? Pretty tough stuff?

It is tough. I put it in the bed of my pickup and it has stood up to quite a beating.
Don’t forget to order the retarder if spraying in hot weather.

Great, thank you. One gallon should do right?

Raptor liner is pretty tough, I sprayed it in the bed of my work truck and it’s holding up well

That’s plenty. I do the trunk and sometimes interior floors too.

Do you need a special gun to spray it? Do you know how thick it sprays down on average?

Can this product be colored by mixing paint with it?

SEM has a tintable bed liner that allows for this. It’s a little lighter color instead of straight black. You’d have to add a lot of paint to a black coating to make it match a color.
