Up until recently, we use to fly a profile on my AF plane called a threat penetration that we would fly at 100 ft AGL (above ground level) and usually at 250 MPH. Very cool over land and water during the day. It is pretty interesting at night on night vision goggles though :bananna2: .

thats cool, but would rather hear the actual sound instead of music...propably blow my speakers though...can't tell by the markings??? Israeli? Saudi military? Like to see footage of the new (20 years old~not that new) F22 in action.

The Swedish Air Force had some serious problems with low flying 30 years ago wth the SAAB J37 Aircraft.

During low flying over the sea the wings suddenly broke of the airframe resulting in several fatal crashes. The plane got grounded and after some extensive labtesting they found out that the Terrian Following Radar was too sensitive!!

It actually tried to follow the waves on the sea making the plane to go up and down half a feet or so with a wavelenght of 2-3 feet, at Mach 2 that will create vibrations of an incredible scale.

The vibration resulting in a stress load on the main wing beam that it wasn't designed for so after a very short time a 1 1/2 ft high Aluminum I-beam just snapped off like a match.

The fix was simple, just reduce the TFR sensitivity and they could go flying again.

My brother did his militaryservice in the Swedish Airforce as an mecanic and on several accassions the pilots said to them to take away all unnessesary things on the undercarrige because they would do some groung-sniffing-competition. And for sure they did, one pilot nearly always came in with grass hanging from under the plane... That´s low! :jawdrop:

Most of the planes in the video are French I believe. They have the small red/whit/blue circle on the top of the wing.

They went to Court Marshall. Never served any time, both got booted from the service and neither of them will ever have a flying job.
