Plan is to take it apart have it dustless blasted. Put big brakes on it. Put a 4link and front tubular suspension. About 425-500 hp 401 in front of a tremec 5speed. Pro touring build. Car will be big bad blue base clear. Let me know if you want other details.

I’ve always loved the Javelins. One of my college buddies owns George Follmer’s ‘68 Trans Am Javelin. Same blue on the front 1/3 of the car.

Yes I used control freak suspension front and rear. I have not installed it all yet. Want to get all the welding before I paint the car. Car is ready for bodywork.

No sway rear sway bar for now want to see how it acts. Yes ask anything you need to. It’s not too bad to install. Just so you know all the parts you need are there but I bought roller thrust bearings for my shocks.

Those are neet cars .A friend of mine had a 1969 AMX 304 4 speed and the same color .While I stationed at Camp Pendleton California .I have also seen one of Donohue Tran Am cars at Seattle International /Pacific Raceway during the Vintage Races .

All this is the front issues.
The ball joints are different sizes on uppers from side to side. The lower joint on one side was drilled for a grease fitting the other side was not . The upper driver hole to put the 15/16 socket through to torque the bolt is not large enough to pass the socket through. The grease fittings are different angles for no reason and I called and he said it was luck of the draw. The grease fitting are different sizes some were too small for the drilled holes. Put your fittings in before you install them. There are a bitch to put In after the stuff is installed ask me how I know. The rear seems to be good.

Finished welding all the unneeded holes in the engine compartment and all the one for all the marker lights and the badges. Finished welding so now can finish blasting it. 175448

Just so people that have not tried it don’t ever try to build a set of headers. Now I know why they are 1500$ and up for a set. I have about 40 hours in mine and still about half left to do on one side. I have the driver side done. 1 7/8 primary and 3.5 collectors.

I watched Dave build the header & exhaust for the Syborg truck and was just blown away at how easy he made it look.

It's not and I commend you for doing your own.
