So I've got the Lokar e-brake cable setup (specifically, the EC-80FU (https://www.lokar.com/ebrake-cables.html)).
I'm sure they don't intend for it to be hooked to a stock 60s pedal, but that's what they're getting here.
The problem comes in though - the block the cables connect to is threaded as 5/16 fine; the stock GM e-brake cable is threaded as 5/16 coarse.

I think if I drill the block out and use two nuts to secure/adjust, I'll get to a point where the wrench won't fit between the cables.
What's the "proper" way to handle this - weld a fine bolt to <something> and attach that something to the coarse threads? Go ahead and drill it out? Re-tap as coarse?
