Due to the current outbreak of the Coronavirus factories all over are shutting down and sending workers home till the danger is over. The result is likely to be random parts shortages until these factories can start backup. If you are thinking of buying some parts you might be better off buying now before the supply pipeline dries up. Just Sayin!

Yep. I work for an auto parts wholesaler, we increased inventory on items already at stateside DC's, since we expect some shortages from overseas.

I heard that Apple and other companies already have full production back up in China. I'm sure this will vary by region tho.

I'm also thinking that people with a prepper mindset may hold off on their purchases like car parts for now, leaving a good stock.

I know Apple said that they have full production back up but that, frankly, seems pretty unlikely.

Production is just one part of the supply chain. Those parts still need to be shipped in some cases all over the world.

I'm working on a rendering for UMI and they've told me earlier in the week that they're down to a skeleton crew but staying open at this point. I work from home so it's business as usual for me and Street Rod Designs. Hopefully everyone is hanging in there ok as we all get through this.

I work for fedex, we are still running at 100%, the shipping side looks ok for now.

I am still working too. We are down about 10 people but business is carrying on like normal. Service side of the shop has slowed down but parts sales are still going strong. Guess now that people are at home, they want to work on their cars and need parts!
