Car is a 71 Cutlass with the 10 bolt. I'm swapping to C6 brakes, this is what I have currently installed. In the back I am using C6 calipers with Camaro backing plates, rotors and abutments. I'm using a two (1/8") piece spacer and retainer I had made from plans on this page, http://1967firebird.atwebpages.com/chassis2.php. Everyone I've seen is using a 1/4" spacer. I've only put the passenger side together so far. I have it assembled as axle, 1/8" spacer, 1/8" bearing retainer, Camaro backing plate, original retainer. My problem is that when I mount the abutment the back side of the rotor just touches the abutment and there is about .3" between the front of the rotor and the abutment in the front. I'm wondering if others have had this issue. I can put a washer or two between the abutment and the caliper to move it back and center it, but I'm more concerned about if there is something wrong with my setup.
