68 Camaro Double Din and Center Vent Layout

Evening, looking to get some guidance on my center dash and console area. Below are the current pics of what I have done so far but my question is how to make the trim ring look presentable. I was considering wrapping the lower portion where the controls are with a leather. The top portion will be a gloss black like the rest of the dash, the trim piece will be a brushed SS.I am going to trim the piece a lot better but you will still see the edge line.

Any ideas ?

This is freaking awesome. I want one!!!!! So did you make the piece with your vintage air controls that sits on top of the 5th gen console to fill the gap. It looks like you made the sides as well. Would love to see more.

Here are a few more build pics... The bottom is a separate piece, then the top portion with the vents and double din, lastly there is that trim ring. Its a Restomod Air ac system that I;m installing.
