wilwood master cylinder choice

im looking to get rid of the old master and booster for a nice clean wilwood master cylinder

I would like to know what bore size is recommended for 4 wheel disc with no booster

It does depend on your pedal ratio and volume of fluid that needs to be displaced [piston size & count].

That said, I've ran a 7/8" and a 15/16" in my 'Cuda with 4-wheel Wilwoods [6piston/4piston], I prefer the effort and stroke balance of the 15/16".

I run the Baer Remaster in 15/16’s with 6 piston fronts/4 piston rears and the pedal feels great. Moved the pushrod position to the upper hole in my brake pedal. I would recommend using an adjustable prop valve as well to tune to your liking.

Im running c5 calipers up front and right stuff calipers in the rear

My hardlines are the same size front to back i believe they are 1/8”
It is the speedtech custom brake lines for their pro touring subframe and it comes with wilwood prop valve

I am running a Wilwood 1" manual - 6 piston up front and 4 piston rear. Braking is phenomenal

I have 4 piston Wilwood on front and factory drums on rear. 1" bore with a 6:1 pedal ratio. works perfect

Because they wouldn't stand behind their products for me. I had a master cylinder go bad on me in less than a month (leaking) and they would do nothing. Told me their parts do not have a warranty.

Hate to say it, but I have heard a few of these stories. I went Baer for my master as a result. They may be a little more expensive, but they make beautiful products with a proven record of success and solid customer service. Plus they do a lot to support the pro touring community and events.

As far as picking which size bore, just call. That's what I did and they were really helpful. I did try to call Wilwood for advice and sat on hold a loooonnnggg time before I was told to make a bunch of measurements and call back later. But hey..maybe it was just an off day.

okay, I was just curious. So far my Wilwood experience has been great. Before I bought their 12.19" dynalite front kit I talked to Wilwood,Baer and CPP. I got great help and tech information from all three. I am very impressed with the quality and performance of the Wilwood kit. I have not had any problems yet so I cant speak for service after the sale. I am NOT using a wilwood master just because I cant stand the way they look. I bought a CPP aluminum master cylinder.

Watch Wilwood calipers too as some of them use pipe thread instead of tapered seats for bleeders and banjos

I contacted Wilwood on what master I should be looking at. The guy wrote back and said they strongly recommend being able to make 18 inches of vacuum at idle to acheive proper vacuum assist. How many performance engines are making 18 inches.
