Tru Turn on 67 Firebird

When installing the tru turns Hiem Joint to Tie rod stud. I see they don't put grade 8 5/8's washers on either side of the Hiem joint. On my drag car it was mandatory for tech at Norwalk. Is this something that's recommended to stop a complete Hiem failure while driving?

If it doesn't interfere with anything,it seems like a good idea to me.
