so i have been wanting to do this for a long time and finally came across a local guy on LS1 Tech that threw a rod in his 2000ss pulling wheelies at the track. So i got the shortblock and started cleaning. The glass is a little dirty since its been sitting for so long. Let me know what you think.

Looks great. But I would round off the corners with 5" radius.

Sweet table! I had considered doing one with aluminum wheels. Haven't gotten around to it yet though.

Another idea. If you still have the cam and crank, Weld them together for a mailbox post. I've seen that done before.

thanks for the idea but i dont think my mom would approve of that haha. I think im going to use the crank for the stand of an endtable with another small glass top. I dont have the cam from this motor but used another to build this lamp.

That's so awesome, I've been wanting to build that table for a while too. Are you gonna polish the block and put wine bottles in the cylinders like the other guy did? That same guy also did a polished block up on end for an end table. With wine in all 8 cylinders, it looked pretty cool.
Good job!

I'm not sure if ill polish it. As of right now i wont be because sooner or later im going to use it for mockup in my car and it will just get trashed.
Thanks
