It's like invasion of the 1st geners around here lately. If I don't run out get mine tomorrow there aren't going to be any left.

Never mind, I'll just buy one of the "new" ones coming out.

Don't hold your breath. GM absolutely has to follow suite in the same manner it did in 67 when it entered the market and introduced the Camaro to compete against the Mustang.

Will history repeat itself? The stats are not favorable not only from a styling standpoint but also from a MSRP perspective.

I hear Homer going, Doughhh!!!!! :pat:

I think Dennis may be talking about the "new" '69's that HRM covered this month. As for myself, I love first gens, but there has to be some of us holding up the freak flag! "vive le differance!"

That's funny, when I look at the "Cars section", I only see a few 1st gens:

Scott Gillman's 64 (https://www.pro-touring.com/featured_cars/Chevelle/baer_brakes_64_chevelle_malibu/baer_brakes_64_chevelle_malibu_page_001.htm)
Kyle & Stacy's 65 (https://www.pro-touring.com/featured_cars/Tucker_Kyle_and_Stacy/Tucker%2065%20Chevelle/tuckers_65_Chevelle.htm)
Ron Bugg's 64 (https://www.pro-touring.com/featured_cars/Chevelle/Ron%20Bug%2064%20Chevelle/ron_bugs_64_chevelle.htm)
Torbjorn Bjorgum's '65 (https://www.pro-touring.com/featured_cars/Chevelle/Torbjorn_Bjorgums_65_Chevelle/torbjorn_bjorgums_65_chevelle.htm)
and of course, my 65 (https://www.pro-touring.com/featured_cars/Chevelle/Derek_Forbes_65_Malibu_SS_Convertible/derek_forbess_65_malibu_SS.htm).

Or did you mean those newfangled F-body cars? There's a few of those, I guess. Young whippersnappers.

I agree there is something said for being different.I have always tried to go against the grain. However at 32 years old I am now in the position to afford my dream car.Ever since my buddy pulled up in 1987 with his 1967 RS camaro I knew I wanted one.So I got a 1969 camaro because its what I wanted, now I have two of them and could not be happier.

Dennis, just think of it this way. You don't need one because you don't have the same insecurities to make up for as they do. If you know what I'm saying..... :naughty:

This is a great idea! In fact, I think we should make it retroactive. Wait here, I'm gonna trade my 1st-gen in on this SWEEEET 77 Aspen I came across. I'll be right back.

Actually I'll take your F body if you don't like it no more Steve. I guess I could use as a commuter or something.

I was comparing those late 60s first-gen F-bodies to the mid 60s first-gen A-bodies. Guess it wasn't as funny as I thought it was.
