Hey everyone, Just had a question about upgrading brakes and the drivability of them. I currently have a 1972 Chevelle with fornt disk and rear drums. I was thinking about going with the baer track kit up front and some other 12" 2-piston in the rear. We will be going with a ford 9" in the rear and also will install hydroboost. My Questiojn is this, With all of these components installed, what will my pedal pressure be like. THey say that the hydroboost gives you a hard pedal pressure. Does that mean that its hard to push the pedal down or that the sensitivity is equal to that of say a new lexus, bmw, etc. Just want the car to be drivable. Also what would you recomend for brake setup on the moser 9" rear bolt in

I think what you are looking for is that the hydroboost will not have a soft pedal. The hydroboost acts like a vacuum boost, but better. I hear the pedal feedback is better. Give Paul at hydroboost a PM, he is a member here, and ask him.
I would think that Baer would have a kit for your Moser rear end. If not, I know that Wilwood does.

My hydroboost has a nice, firm feel. Not hard to push but there's no mushiness at all. A light effort is all that's required for incredible stopping.

I have the same pedal feel in my hydroboost. There is not much needed at all to stop. What I did have to do was set my pedal back further to the firewall. I was hitting my knees on my dash, so all I did was tap the brake actuator some more and re-install my clevis rod and move it further to the firewall. Problem solved! This is probably the best brake upgrade you can do.
I will forwarn you...when turning hard right and braking...your steering will weaken and pretty much turn to manual steering until you let off the brake. It is just one of those quirks.

I do not have the turn-right-and-brake problem.

I have non-power assisted Baer Tracks on my car....they work good but you have to stand on them really hard...and I really mean stand on it! I will be installing a Hydroboost soon...
