Just helping a friend list his LT1 engine.

He won't separate the combo unless there is a buyer for all items. It is being priced for a fast sale. He was bit by the LT4 bug and needs to let Dutchboys know if they need to add a dry sump set up to his list of fab work sooner than later.

Asking $12,500

Specs:

LT1 pullout completely disassembled, cleaned and honed at machine shop. New GM bearings and rings.
DOD delete
VVT delete
CamMotion custom cam
Johnson Racing lifters
MSD intake
LT4 DI injectors
Straub trunion bushings
Katech CNC ported Heads
GM stock TB
Holley swap oil pan
This is a wet sump engine
Painted red at Dutchboys

I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting.

Wegner Motorsports Front Drive
The drive pictured on Wegner's website is the actual drive included. It was Wegner's first LT1 drive they sold.

Speartech Engine harness
New in box

Thanks,

Just a thought to help your friend, a LT4 crate is $14k... a pull out is $10-12k. I’m don’t see anyone paying $12.5k for the LT1 considering this.

The LT1 crate is $8500 and I have seen low mileage LT1s for $6-7k. This set-up is not priced to sell unfortunately. It does have nice features, but I think $10k is probably closer to where it need to be.

While I appreciate your need to comment on every thread your obviously not a buyer for this package. How about you keep your opinion to yourself and let a real buyer decide if this is a good deal.

Have you ever priced a Wegner LT1 or LT4 front drive? I'm Wegner dealer. Dealer pricing on this drive is more than retail for their WAK033 LS kit. The ATI pulley is also not included in the kit it is a $500 addition. The diamond cut two tone is also not a free option. Retail pricing is close to $3000. The Speartech harness is $1250. So $3000 + $1250 = $4250, $12,500 - $4250 = $8250 for a professionally assembled engine doesn't sound so bad. You have to be joking trying to compare this engine to a GM crate engine or a used pull out.

Did you even read the description before posting a reply?

This is a professionally built LT1. Do you want to know the main bearing clearances for all 5 mains? I can tell you that. How about rod bearing clearances? That info is available also. Ring gaps? The heads are CNC ported. DOD has been deleted. VVT has been deleted. It has a LT4 fuel system... Price that by itself. Price out a set of Johnson Racing reduced travel lifters with axle oiling....

I'm not going to go over every detail of this engine just to prove a point. If you're not a buyer keep your opinion to yourself. If you're a buyer I'll gladly spend as much time as you need going over every detail of this build. My number is listed in the first post. If you have any question or opinions you'd like to share give me a call.

Damn a smoking deal in a smoking hot engine. Wish I wasn't neck deep in the body shop. My car just spent two months getting Chem stripped, and spot blasted. Non headed minor sheetmetal and on to mud

Thank you. Someone is coming to look at it on Friday.
