It may not be a popular opinion, but I would pass on car magazines in favor of social media from the builders. Goolsby, Foose, DSE, and roadstershop have some good stuff out there on Instagram and their respective websites.

Set up an RSS feed via feedly or similar and enjoy daily content for free.

Hot Rod magazine is a mainstay, too.
