Trans Am 1980 turbo swap engine

​Hello all ..

I just joined with you.


i have Trans Am 1980 turbo


and i want to swap engine to L99 6.2L with gear 6L80E.


I have bought a whole car which runs perfectly,( Camaro SS V8 6.2 engine modal 2011 automatic )
So i will swap everything from the camaro SS to the old car Trans Am 1980 turbo.


Please advise me What is the best complete Conversion Kit?

Look into all of the Holley swap components- engine mounts, crossmember, oil pan, headers, etc. Some well thought out components that were engineered to work together and fit well. You'll probably have to change the front acc drive. The trans tunnel in 70-81 body is pretty tight. I am unsure if that trans would fit without mods. I'm sure that swap has been done before, and Holley I'm sure can inform you on it. Sounds like a great project. Always liked that turbo T/A body.
