On my 68 C10 I'm running C5 Corvette front brakes with 20" wheels. They work well but the 20" wheel makes the 13" rotors look a bit small. I'd like to upgrade? to Z06 rotors which are 14" purely for looks only. I can remake the caliper mounts to move the caliper out the 1/2".
So my question does the 14" Z06 rotor have the same pad area so I can reuse my C5 calipers? I looked on online and they looked similar.

the calipers may work but they would likely need to be moved .5" out to line up with the bigger rotor

Thanks for the reply. That's what I was thinking. I'm going to stop at NAPA tomorrow and see if they can order a cheap? Z06 rotor so I can compare. I may need to give KORE3 a call.

You can switch to a C5/C6 Z51 setup from a normal C5. You just need the Z51 caliper abutment brackets and rotors. Gives you 13.5/13 (I believe) while using the same calipers. Call Tobin at Kore3!

I have a complete 2002 zo6 assembly you can borrow if you are around Oregon.

Thanks for the offer. I'm in MN. I may hit you up measurements if that OK.

I second what was stated above, look for C6 Z51 brakes, They will bolt right in and have plenty of stopping power with a 13.5" rotor. And cheaper than Z06 parts.

Just an FYI.
I got a 2007 Z06 rotor from NAPA. Drilled but not slotted. Comparing the Z06 rotor to the "stock" C5 rotor the pad area is 1/8" wider. No worries there. Both rotors have the same "back space" and hub bore diameter. Z06 rotor is 13.97" so I will need to make new caliper brackets that move the caliper out 1/2". Just to be clear my 2.5" drop spindles were milled, drilled and tapped on the back side to allow a bracket that bolts up to a C5 caliper abutment. It's just a flat piece of steel about 3/8-7/16" thick with four bolt holes. Two for the spindle mount. Two for the caliper mount.
Got a couple of months of driving before winter hits so it will be a winter project.

Other option may be CTS calipers, they bolt on extended as is. Just don't remember all the specifics right now

Thought about the CTSV Brembo calipers. A buddy of mine has them on his 89 Camaro LS swap. Great brakes. I want to reuse my C5 calipers.

Then bracket spacing em 1/2 up & call it done.
