My son and I are building a ‘67 camaro and we have installed the Ridetech rear four link and are now getting ready to install the Detroit Speed subframe with JRI coilovers. I initially was going to replace those front JRI’s with Ridetech coilovers so I would have the same shocks all around. Now I am feeling like leaving the JRI’s on the DSE subframe to keep things simple and I feel that subframe was engineered with that specific shock and spring. Any opinions? I think it won’t matter in the end- I feel we can get it dialed in with trial and error either way.

It will be fine imho for a street driven car.

Those were my thoughts. We have a C6 z06 for the track and this will be more of a cruiser with a rare autocross here and there.

If anything, I’d think its better to keep the ridetech coilovers in the rear and the jri’s up front. Like you mentioned, when the manufacturers design a system they also match the shocks valving and rates accordingly.

Get schooled on the JRI adjustments they differ a lot from the way Ride Tech shocks adjust. The JRI shocks will work but you won't be able to relate their settings to the rear settings.
