What road course style oil pan?

What oil pans are you guys running on small block Chevys that have the trap doors for both left/right turns?

Check out Canton Racing Products, They offer a pretty wide variety for different chassis and also matching bolt-on pickups. I am very pleased with mine.

I have seen them, but was looking for other options.

Has anyone used the weld-it yourself kit from Moroso? Is it a PITA to construct yourself?

How about the Kevko ones, anyone using them?

I use the Moroso Roadrace pan, nice unit, but he Canton Roadrace pan is nicer... the windage screen is part of the pan instead of having to be bolted to the mains.
Stay away from the weld-it-youself kits for roadracing; its a huge amount of effort and you probably won't have the baffles placed as well as the factory pans.

Remember that on its best day a wet sump (roadrace) pan is not as good as a drysump.

Canton is a nice product for the money and works well. Of course all the pans are great, just ask the person selling them!

I too am running the Canton pan.

CV pans are a better deal all together..... price and operation-wise.

Its basically, a near copy of the Canton and Avaid pans that are used for vintage racing, but with a different and full length windage tray that the other two do not offer.

And..... its only $230.00 vice the nearly double that the others get for their offerings.

I am not knocking Canton or Avaid either. I have used both of them more times than I can count, but the CV pan is the same/better product for the money. Period.

Not to mention that they offer two versions for a perfect fitment in a 67-69 chassis. And they also have the newer style 3/4" pick-ups available for the new Melling oil pump that uses a bolt on 3/4" pick up tube..... that is something the others can say they can offer for the cost involved.

The 1080LT and the 1080LTRR. Obviously, the RR is for the specific road race version.

Carl C's (http://www.geocities.com/casanoc/) web site shows the original 1080LT pan being used on a chassis that sees a lot of track time.
