67 camaro with global west upper and lower control arms, think factory spindles, factory style power steering box and steering linkage,
camber is -.3 -.1
caster is 5.2 4.6
sai is 8.9 8.6

when you turn to lock either way it will pick up the opposite side of the front end and the tires start to scrub. Been doing alignments for years and never ran into this before. anyone ever ran into this.
have not measured pitman/ idler arm length or distance to ground yet or done lock to lock on the alignment rack running, will do all that tomorrow and get back with findings

Looking forward to cruising the forum
Thanks in advance Mike

Is one the steering arms bent?
Are they both the same length? There are several different steering arms used on the 1st gens.
Take a look at Pozziracing.com for more info

A lot of caster can lead to jacking like that. Try using less caster.

all of the items are the same length, only thing I found different was the distance between the the left inner tie rod bolt and the pitman arm bolt vs the inner tie rod end bolt and idler arm bolt is more, also the idler arm has alot more swing than the pitman arm, possibly as much as twice. After watching underneath while friend moves the steering lock to lock I'm thinking its either the difference in the distance between the bolts or the tires are hitting the frame so bad the that the tire is picking the frame up, because when the car can move the lift is noticeably more.
Global west said that, what caster I have is not too much.
