Okay, pulled the axles out of the housing tonight so I could install the bearing spacers I forgot to put in the first time.

Slipped on the spacers and reinstalled the RH axle, no problems at all, slipped right in.

The LH axle will not go this last 3/4"s of an inch.

I can tell it is hitting something in the 3rd member. It is not hanging up at the housing end. Something in the 3rd member is stopping it from slipping all the way in. What could it be? I have had these things in and out a dozen times during the build with not one issue assembling them... What changed?

Axles on the wrong sides???

Nope, not possible. You can see the one I am having problems with, the race stayed in the housing when I pulled the axle. The RH side the race came out with the axle so there is no way to switch them without a really bonehead move on my part...

I found the same issue on the H.A.M.B. last night and got it figured out and put back together. While i was pulling the RH axle the spider gears for the LH axle got misaligned. I stuck a broom handle thru the pass. side lug studs to keep the axle from spinning and, after three tries, rotating the LH axle in small increments, it slid right in. Very satisfying when it clunked down in there that last 3/4"! All bolted up and ready to go! I knew it had to be something simple... I went to bed and went right to sleep.
This is the first time I have had an issue with the misaligned gears in a Traction Lock. I did pull the drivers side axle first, it came out with a few taps from the dead blow. The RH side was a bit more work and I had to really whale on it to pop it loose. I guess that is how the gears got misaligned. Next time I'll pull the pass side first. :)
I won't forget this one for a while... :)

Good job getting it in.
