I have been learking for a long time reading up on falcon and mustang front suspensions. With that said everything I have tried seems to make it worse. I am tired of fighting this thing and am looking for help from an individual or someone that can point me to a shop.

The car wonders and occasionally wants to dart around and isent real stable on the top end. When going into a corner at speed the car turns in nice and about at the Apex it all the sudden dives to the inside. And I have to make a stering correction to keep from going into the ditch. Thing has always done that and the more I have tried to correct these issues the worse they have became.

I have 3* caster, I think the camber is around .5 or 1*, and have tried from a 1/4 to 1/16 toe in and haven't had any changes. Car has: 1 1/8 front sway bar 7/8 rear sway bar, Shelby drop, adjustable torsion rods, bump steer kit, roller idler arm, manual 16:1 box, all new joints, Granada spindles, 65 falcon center link. 302, t-5, 9" rear with Detroit locker. Oh and I have a set of caltracks on the leafs because it wheel hops bad with any tire spin.

The back story: The car was hacked up when I got it and it still is. I have grand ideas of shelling it some day and building a full chassis for it. Right now I just want a decent daily driver!
The entire floor pan was cut out and flat sheet was put in from the toe boards back. Their is frame connectors welded from front to back, and they are tied to the rockers. The rear frame rails are 1x 3, 3/16 wall with a couple cross bars. I can feel the rear end move when I grab second so I am planning on some gussets for the rear frame and a pan hard bar. The front torque boxes are pretty Rusty and thin too. I can't imagine that the crappy frame and Rusty torque boxes would let everything move during normal driving. They are rough but not total crap either.

So who has any ideas or a place to point me? Would love to find someone to drive this thing and figure it out.

I have a locker in my Cougar and I find that it can make the car pull to one side in certain conditions. You caltracs can also put the rear in bit mid corner, which will make the car oversteer. Those are my amateur opinions. I am sure others may have deeper insight.

I wondered if that was considered oversteer. I have always taken it as the rear stepping out. I will try pulling the caltracks off and see if that helps.
