Looking for advice from those of you that have experience with this. I have several items like a cast intake and some brackets that I want to look new as cast. What have you found to be the best media for this? Thanks

I would think walnut shells. They are very effective in cleaning up cylinder head ports on newer cars with direct injection. Done it 3 times to my car, with no sign of any damage to teh aluminum.

second crushed walnut shells. I blasted some corvette valve covers many moons ago and came out great

Walnut shells are also what they use to clean carbon deposits off aluminum GDI cylinder heads, while still in the car.

We've used crushed glass in our cabinet with good results. You can get it cheap at Harbor Freight.

I like the results if glass bead media.
