So it's -25 air temp with a 25 mph north west wind. So -50 wind chill. I've got the shop warmed up and doing some work on the C10.

Can't wait till spring.

I put a bunch of parts boxes on my car hoping they would keep it warm.

Decided not to weld on the car in the shop last night since opening the garage door occasionally to clear the weld smoke would have let -36 deg F air rushing in! Figured that was a little too much. Looks like we'll be back to averaging around 0 deg F again soon so I can get back at it. :-)

Freezing to death in my un-insulated shop. I don't plan on living in this house too long so I'm not dumping money into this one yet! lol

The neighborhood pool is heated to 84 degrees, was thinking of checking that out. :)

My brass monkey lost some key parts due to the freezing temps, so I've parked my butt next to the fireplace to prevent the same happening to me.

So an update from the frozen north.

Schools closed thru tomorrow.

Last night -31 air temp. With the wind -56. Today no wind to speak of but high of -20. Mail delivery cancelled.

There is an up side of this cold weather. Our lab dog takes very little time to get his job done outside.

The LP gas guy just filled the 700 gallon house tank and the 300 gallon shop tank so no worries their until the bill arrives.

By Saturday it will be mid 30 degrees. Got to like a 60 degree warm up.

That's not as much fun as chipping ice off of your front steps.(jealous sarcasm)

Woke up and my house was 49 degrees :rotfl: At least i have a completed basement so my pipes didnt freeze. Pretty much a certified hvac tech now after tearing my furnace apart 2 times to find the exhaust blower full of water! Runs better than ever of course since i fixed it myself.

Damn man. I woke up to my house at 60 and I thought that was cold. All I had to do was steel wool the flame sensor. Took about 10 minutes.

lol That was day 2 of the furnace not working. I did the flame sensor trick the first night and the furnace initially ran long enough for me to think that worked.. Found out in the morning that was not the answer lol

I think it got up to -10 today. Spent yesterday plowing 5 plus inches of new snow with the TJ LS6/4L60E. Start it up and let it warm a bit while I make a cup of coffee and then plow snow. Most snow we've had in about 5 years. Snowmobilers are having great winter.
